Cobblers legend. Need we say more?! Born in Yardley, Frain played for just 3 clubs during his football career, mostly at left back: Birmingham City, Northampton Town and Moor Green. John Frain’s biggest moment came in the 93rd minute of the 1997 Division 3 Play Off Final, where he scored the only goal of the game to send 32,000 Cobblers fans into raptures.
