Episode 2: Mamita

Episode notes

One summer evening in 2005, Mathew Alvarez was told he had to stay the night at his grandmother's house. Mat grew up around the block from his grandmother, also known as Mamita, but was nervous. It was a rare instance when it would be just the two of them. He didn't know it then, but it would be one of the last times he would be able to connect with his grandmother. In this non-narrated episode, Mat reflects on his relationship with Mamita and what he's learned about connecting with family and his culture.
