EP 69: Health Gummies - Fad? Should you use them? Are they better or cheaper than the usual. Just the facts. All the rage, or never heard of them? Should I use them? We discuss. We try to stay on top of the trends. We see "health" gummies creeping in more and more, with more and more ingredient options. Vitamin gummies for kids have been around for a while. My first reaction was, "Let's rot their teeth a little more." What about gummies for adults? Now we see them becoming mainstream, just maybe not as we know it. I'm talking THC gummies, which, if we look at search demand over the last year, are the highest, with demand in November 2024 jumping 70% per Google Trends. Creatine gummies went from zero (they didn't exist) earlier in the year to around 60% of THC gummy searches. But are they, as in gummies in general, any good as a delivery mechanism? The things that come to mind:How much is in them, i.e., the dose? How much sugar or other nasties are in them? Does this vary by ingredient?Limit? So if I want a bit of D, creatine, and, say, an iron gummy, three gummies daily? Is there a risk of overdose? Are they cost-effective versus pills? We look at the data and discuss it to keep you informed.
