Episode notes

Steve interviews Zack Meisel (00:08:43)from The Athletic. Zack tells the exciting story of the 1995 Cleveland Indians. Zack explains why he wrote the book, why he thinks the 95 Indians are the best team ever from Cleveland, and why Indians fans are still bitter about the strike zone in the 1995 World Series. Zack also talks about the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State football, and Carlos Baerga making the last out (again, and again, and again). Also, Pat Laprade (00:54:48) hops on to talk about his new book on the life of Andre the Giant. First, Pat talks about helping the Dark Side of the Ring guys on their episode about Dino Bravo. Then, Pat talks about working on the Andre the Giant documentary, expanding it into a book, and working with a partner. Pat also talks about traveling to France to meet with Andre's family, the end of Wrestlemania III, and the larger than life stories about Andre the Giant. The show starts with Steve talking about the Sabres firing Jason Botterill. The book club moves on from Andre the Giant and the 1995 Cleveland Indians but still has Yogi Berra and adds a new book. OLT ends the program with Steve holding nothing back to talk about his first four years as a father. For more information follow the podcast on twitter @sports_casters Email: [email protected]
